Even the Toronto Star is criticizing their abysmal dangerous designs today in their Wheels section. Either make 40-60MPG passenger vehicles or disappear off the face of the earth Chrysler. Others are doing better. Posted 01/11/07 at 11:37 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment .

Mow Down In Motown

First of all, I want to thank all those who came out to watch the game last night at the Jocks-N-Jills at The Galleria! Most I knew, some I met for the first time!! It was a good time, indeed! Great game, great food, great service, (thank you Ashley).

Now, as for the game

Well…there, THAT wasn't so hard, was it? You just go into The Joe, thump the Wings 5-1 and come home…ho-hum!

I mean, Detroit WHO?

If I had not seen the game and you would have told me that the Atlanta Thrashers would be out shot by the Detroit Red Wings 47-25…20-6 in the second period alone…I would have said, "Yeah, not surprising". If you would have followed it up with the fact that the final score was 5-1, I would have muttered, "Surprising we kept it that close given the shots".

Karl Hopes To Lure Nene To Visit Practice Soon

I want him to come back and be with the team, and understand basketball is a little bit family," Karl said Wednesday before the Nuggets' game with Atlanta. "So many of us stay in basketball because of the spirit of basketball, and the spirit of friendship is stronger and deeper ... and loving. We want to share that with him."

The team said there's no timetable yet for his return, but Karl has a suspicion Nene will return this season.

"My feeling is he knows that we love him and need him," Karl said. "I think he knows we can be a damn good basketball team. As soon as he's healthy, we'll step over that bridge."

The Nuggets suspected the news would come back that the tumor was malignant, based on the information they were receiving. The team was bracing for it, even after Nene's Web site posted a statement last week saying the tumor was benign.

No change to conditions in Spears' child-custody case

On Jan. 3, Spears refused to return the boys to her ex-husband Kevin Federline at her home. Later there was a standoff, and Spears was sent to hospital in an ambulance.

On Jan. 4, Federline was awarded sole legal and physical custody of their two boys and Spears' visitation rights were suspended.

The next hearing is set for Feb. 4, at which time Spears' attorneys will ask permission to withdraw from the case. A hearing on custody is set for Feb. 19.

A custody trial is set for April. Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, noted outside court that the commissioner has ordered a custody evaluator to report back to him before the trial.

Denise Richards wins bid to put kids on TV

Maybe Kevin Federline and Charlie Sheen should start a club. Kevin Federline overcame his image to emerge as the more responsible parent in his bitter custody battle with Britney Spears. Now, notorious bad boy Charlie seems to be a more sensible caregiver than his ex, Denise Richards. Only Charlie isn't doing as well as K-Fed at the courthouse.

TMZ reports that despite Charlie's objections, a court commissioner granted Denise permission for the divorced couple's two daughters to co-star in her upcoming reality show. Appropriately enough, Charlie seems no way OK with subjecting Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, to constant public scrutiny. Meanwhile, despite certain undisclosed restrictions applied to the court ruling, Denise is “very happy" with the court's decision, according to the Web site.

There were no comments from Charlie's camp, though E! News pointed out that he's had plenty to say in the past.
