| Big kid comes out to play on neighbourhood rink
Wayne Gretzky grew up playing on his dad Walter's backyard rink in Brantford, Ont., so he couldn't resist the urge to relive the past before the Phoenix Coyotes' practice at Rexall Place on Wednesday afternoon. Former K-Rock morning host Jim Jerome, a longtime pal who manages No. 99's Gretzky.com website, had an idea for a feature on outdoor rinks. He figured, and rightly so, that backyard rinks in Canada are like backyard swimming pools in places like Phoenix, so why not show what the attraction is? Jerome rounded up some neighbourhood kids at lunchtime for a little game at his place and talked Darren Pang, the Phoenix TV colour commentator and former NHL goalie, into dropping by to help out for the web feature. .

Neil Patrick Harris hits Mother-lode
Well, the former Doogie Howser, M.D. -- namely, 34-year-old actor Neil Patrick Harris -- will find himself in the company of a bevy of Victoria's Secret models tomorrow night on a new episode of How I Met Your Mother (CBS, E!). Now, Doogie would have been too young to really appreciate this. And in real life, Harris is gay, which obviously would negate the impact. But as for Barney Stinson, who is Harris' character on How I Met Your Mother, this truly is a wet dream come true. Or is it? The episode is titled The Yips, and it has nothing to do with a golf game gone bad. As it turns out, infamous ladies-man Barney loses his sexual mojo just after receiving his invitation to an exclusive Victoria's Secret party. Your say: Child neglect
Ever since the government has introduced this so called bonus scheme of having children where you get paid thousands of dollars to have a child. The number of these cases seems to have increased. Alot of people are now having children just for the money, not because they truly wish to have children. I personally, know of single women having babies, claiming the money, then neglecting the child until welfare turn up and remove the child. These same women have had 2 or 3 and have no remorse. I am not an elderly person, in fact I am 39yrs and have 3 children of my own. When I had my children there were no incentives at all, not even the incentive to have my children immunised and yet I coped. I am now a single mother and struggling through, but have never contemplated neglecting my children. They are my world.
